DNA code

I am interested in DNA code as a descriptive text (rather than a structure) as well as its role as a heritable instruction. I have experimented with representing the body as a DNA sequence and these images show some of the resulting work. The heritability of language image is a still from a video which references the memento mori art genre. Here, a skull and pieces of fruit made in ice melt, revealing, at the end, solely an encapsulated DNA sequence which persists when the rest has gone. Eve's legacy is a handmade book which shows the complete sequence of human mitochondrial DNA.
